Hello my name is Jun and I'm a shopaholic

Hello blogging world! I'm very excited to start Dealing in Style. I hope to share my thoughts and tips on sale shopping, shopping for others, and most importantly shopping for yourself!

Let me introduce myself... I'm an European, IT consultant currently living in DC who grew up outside of NYC for most of my life. What this means is that I can dress for any occasion but am always looking for a deal :) I also love closet organization because without knowing what you own how could you possibly go shopping?! My closet is organized by occasion, color, and style. I switch out my closet every season and make sure to donate whatever doesn't make the cut. This makes me feel better about my shopaholic tendencies. When I enter a store, whether I'm shopping for myself or someone else, I go into hunter mode. I scan every item and go in for the attack on the pieces that stand out to me. But nothing gets me more excited to shop then when I see my favorite four letter word outside of a store, S-A-L-E. With the end of summer season just around the corner, we'll be seeing this more and more.

There is a lot to love about a sale, but honestly it can be a little overwhelming... crowded shops with jammed clothes racks, hunting through piles and piles of clothes for your size, and spending hours looking for something that you actually want. REMEMBER: The most important thing about a sale is not to get mesmerized by the price. Keep focused and look for clothes that you need to help build your wardrobe.

Stay tuned for my next post about taking my boyfriend sale shopping to add a punch of color to his clothes!
